Principals Corner:
The year is flying by, and October ended in a flurry of activity! Our Blue Ribbon Block Party was great fun for all! Parent/Teacher Conferences were well attended, and we thank you for taking time to visit with your child’s teacher about the progress being made. We are more effective in enhancing the success of the children when we commit to working as a teamJ Safety Week followed with a successful demonstration of our ability to act quickly in case of emergency situations. Red Ribbon week was celebrated with discussions about healthy life choices and staying drug free.
We greet November with the anticipation of receiving the Blue Ribbon Award during a ceremony in Washington D.C. on the 7th. Be sure to watch for the slips to come home for American Education Week when you have the opportunity to come have lunch with your child. STEM and Turkey Bingo Night will be the highlight of the month with food, fun, and prizes galore! As we pause near the end of the month to spend time with our families and give thanks, know that we are grateful for the support that you shower upon us each day in your words and kind deeds.

Welcome Sheridan Stallions to an exciting new year in Music Class! I hope you are ready for a year full of fun with learning! Mark your calendars! Upcoming Music Program dates are as follows :
November 30th @ 6pm: 2nd & 3rd Grades
Program “Lights! Camera! Action!” will be on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the Sheridan Gymnasium. Students are asked to wear a bright colored solid shirt or a shirt that features their favorite movie on it.

Notes from PE:
Our stallions have been continuing to work hard in PE the last couple weeks. My K-2 classes have been working on a throwing and catching unit. My older 3-5 classes have started a fitness unit. During the fitness unit we will be testing in the Push up, PACER, Curl up, and the sit and reach test. Please make sure your child has PE shoes for class. -Mr. Jones- PE Teacher [email protected]
