My name is Callie Meinhardt and I’m the Sheridan Elementary School Social Worker. In school years past I was the School Counselor, but my title has changed this year. However, my role at Sheridan has not changed! As the Social Worker at Sheridan, my focus is teaching all of our students about social/emotional skills, peer and adult relationship skills, and life skills. I’m blessed to be able to provide these services by teaching whole class lessons twice monthly, individual one-on-one short term sessions, small group sessions, and crisis intervention. I also provide social work services to children with special education IEP’s. My goal is to provide support to our students to optimize their social, emotional, and academic success. For small groups or individual counseling, students may be referred to me by staff, parents, or even by self-referral. If you believe your student would benefit from my services, please feel free to reach out to me! I can’t wait to start another year with our Sheridan Stallions! |
* Extended individual counseling will require parental permission. Long-term
therapeutic needs will be referred out to a community organization.
