Highlights

• This year Sheridan was announced as a Blue Ribbon School.
• Overall school test scores ranked above the district and state mean scores.
• Two teachers at Sheridan were named Teacher of the Month.
• Fifth Grade students became published authors after creating a bilingual picture book which will be distributed in Africa.

School Improvement Goals

Sheridan Elementary will ensure the use of quality tasks to increase student achievement in Math, Reading, Writing, and Science.
Sheridan Elementary will increase students’ understanding by making Standards of Math Practice “loud” in the classroom.

Site Council

Ten members met four times throughout the year and discussed topics including New Teachers and Staff, ALICE, Wellness and Kid’s Fitness, the addition tour, and setting next year’s topics.
