The Geary County Schools USD 475 communications department received three national awards on Wednesday from the National School Public Relations Association, including two "Awards of Excellence" and one “Award of Merit” honors for its efforts in telling the stories and accomplishments of USD 475’s students and staff during the 2025-26 school year.

Geary County Schools USD 475 is proud to announce that Junction City High School’s Blue Jay Media team recently earned top honors at the SATO48 Film Challenge in Springfield, Mo., placing in the top 10 in two different categories.

USD 475 will be serving free lunch to any student, one to 18 years of age, during the month of June, beginning on Monday, June 1 and running through Tuesday, June 30, at Ware Elementary and Lincoln Elementary.
